Amy Williamson, MD, FACOG

Amy Williamson, MD, FACOG Dr. Williamson grew up in southern Illinois. She graduated from Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania with a degree in chemistry. She returned to Illinois and attended the University of Illinois College of Medicine. She moved to Arizona in 1994 for residency training in OB/GYN at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. She joined Southwest Women's Care in 2003.

A special area of interest to Dr. Williamson is pediatric and adolescent gynecology. She is happy to see patients from birth through adulthood and help parents address pediatric gynecologic issues including vulvar and vaginal irritation, labial adhesions, lichen sclerosus, pelvic masses, issues with puberty, and girls with disabilities. She also treats teens with menstrual problems (including pain, heavy periods, frequent or absent periods), pelvic masses, ovarian tumors, pelvic pain, endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome, and contraceptive needs.

Dr. Williamson is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology. She is also a member of Alpha Omega Alpha.

Dr. Williamson is married with four children, including a set of twins. She enjoys spending time with her family especially attending her kids' baseball games and gymnastics meets.



Kim Balk, MD, FACOG

Kim Balk, MD, FACOG

Dr. Balk graduated from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska.  She completed her residency training at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ in 2000.  Upon graduation, she went to the central coast of California to practice for two years but returned to Phoenix in 2003 to join Southwest Women’s Care.  Dr. Balk is board certified and enjoys general Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Balk is married and has two daughters.  She enjoys time with family, reading, baking, and being actively involved in her children’s lives. 



Stephanie Mayes, MD

Stephanie Mayes, MD Dr. Mayes graduated with honors from University of Arizona School of Medicine in 2004. Staying close to home, she continued her education by attending residency at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center. After graduation in 2008, she joined Southwest Women’s Care. She is board eligible. She is also a member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her areas of interest include infertility, high risk obstetrics and minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Mayes is a proud native of Arizona. She currently resides in Mesa where she stays active and enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is also an avid reader.


Mo Vaziri, MD

Dr. Vaziri grew up in Arizona and is a Valley native. He completed his undergraduate and medical school studies at The University of Arizona and like his partners, completed residency training at Banner Good Samaritan Hospital in 2008. Dr. Vaziri’s great interest in obstetrics lead him to become the Obstetrical Hospitalist for Southwest Women’s Care, allowing him to focus solely on birthing, the labor process, and high risk pregnancies. Dr. Vaziri spends free times with family and friends, enjoying outdoor activities.
